Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences pursues and propagates fundamental research and innovation in understanding human behaviour. By working with top researchers from different disciplines, both locally and internationally, the JIBS will provide leadership in addressing critical issues in human behaviour from a multidisciplinary perspective. At JIBS we believe in active learning through participatory approach whether we are dealing with academics or planning services of individual and community needs. We understand that growth entails changes within and outside ourselves and, therefore, offer opportunities to our students and colleagues to reflect and engage in critical thinking.
The faculty, staff, researchers and trainees in our institute are involved in studying the nature and development of human behaviour. We explore the ways in which human behaviour is influenced by (i) individual factors (cognitive, affective, motivational and psycho-physiological processes), (ii) social-contextual factors (home, school, peer group or work organization), and (iii) the dynamic interplay between such individual and situational factors. We conduct laboratory experiments and field studies, large scale longitudinal studies, and randomized controlled trials. Our studies include behavioural, psycho-physiological, neuroscience, genetic, and psychometric assessment.
At JIBS we aspire to develop the institute into the icon of quality training of international standards, and our endeavors are making promising headways. We invite you to visit Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences to learn, collaborate and participate with us.
