Karishma is currently an Academic Tutor & Teaching & Research for Intellectual Pursuit (TRIP) Fellow, and a doctoral fellow at Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences, O.P Jindal Global University. At JIBS, she has been actively involved with the Centre for Community Mental Health and Brain Behaviour Laboratory. She is a registered clinical psychologist with the Rehabilitation Council of India. Karishma had completed her Bachelors in English Honors from Kurukshetra University and her Masters in Psychology from Punjab University. After that she completed M.Phil Clinical Psychology from University of Health Sciences, with a clinical training from PGIMS.

Prior to joining JGU, she has worked with Translational Health Science & Technology Institute on Grand Challenge India Grant (DBT, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, BIRAC & USAID) funded project focusing on maternal mental health. During this, she was also involved with Psychiatry Department of Civil Hospital, Gurugram as a clinical psychologist.

Her research interests are addiction psychology, behavioural medicine, and community mental health.
