Dr. G.Valentina is an Associate Professor & Director Student Life & Cultural Engagement at Jindal Institute of Behavioral sciences at Jindal Global University. She teaches an Elective course on Industrial Sociology in the institute and plans for students engaging them in curriculum activities. She has professional experience in myriad areas of teaching, training, research, consultancy and action research projects. She has completed her PHD from Hyderabad Central University and pioneered in drafting and implementing many developmental programmes for the students. Her research interest has been on developmental issues. Her action research has been a specular contribution to the rural tribal society where she engineered transfer of solar energy technologies in tribal habitats of the country pioneered by building the capacities of illiterate tribal women on a barefoot approach and Gender Sensitization & Socio – Economic Development of Women.

Research Experience

Her research interest encompasses exploring areas on policy issues for Government of India on social development of the people in the society.

Teaching Experience

She has a long stint of teaching. Her experience comprehends teaching Graduate and Post graduate students in the University, on subjects leading to development studies in sociology. working on such numerous aspects she has gained expertise in teaching Industrial sociology, sociology of organizations, research methods (qualitative), introductory courses in sociology, criminology, rural societies, systems of stratifications, equity and inequality in society. She also had the privilege of drafting and launching and coordinating programmes on Post Graduate Diploma Programme in rural development Management.

Training Experience

She has an experience of conducting National and International training programmes on various topics like; Sustainable Livelihoods, Cooperatives, Rural Livelihoods, Solar Electrification, Transfer of Technology, Gender Concerns, Drudgery Reducing Technologies for Women, Rural Development Management, Local Governance, Social Development of the poor, Transgenders, SC/ST sub plans etc. And International Training programmes on Sustainable Agriculture & Rural Development, Technologies for livelihoods Development and Women Empowerment, Disaster Mitigation and Community Driven Rural Development. She has also conducted many policy-oriented workshops and seminars in various development subjects.
