JIBS Research Colloquium (October 2020)

In the last week of October, JIBS has lined up a series of multidisciplinary academic events for professionals, researchers, academicians, practitioners, young scholars, and students in India and abroad. We invite you to join us in the interesting discussions we have curated on criminology, victimology, psychology, forensics and related studies through the 4-days events and connect with scholars and practitioners in your area of work during our virtual meet-and-greet sessions.

28-29 October: 1st International Symposium on Crime Studies (No abstract submission)

30-31 October: 9th International Conference on Victim Assistance (Abstract submission open until 2nd October)

You can register for either or both of the events by clicking on the button below and choosing the events you wish to register for (Registration deadline – 20th October). Submission of abstracts for the 9th ICVA should be done at the time of registration itself (see page 2 of the form). In case you are not registering as a presenter, you can leave this section blank. Please read below for more information on each of the events.

1st International (Virtual) Symposium on Crime Studies (ISCS)

  • 28-29th October 2020

Renowned experts in various fields of criminology, forensics and related crime studies will discuss new research and insights on emerging crime phenomena in the COVID Era. Attendees will benefit from learning and interacting with the diverse speakers on each panel who will bring their expertise and research-based knowledge to lend a well-rounded perspective to the modern crime studies.

Theme: Emerging Trends in Crime Studies

9th International (Virtual) Conference on Victim Assistance (ICVA)

  • 30-31st October, 2020

This year, the 9th chapter of ICVA envisions an interdisciplinary platform to disseminate, exchange and generate knowledge through engagement of a wide variety of government officials, lawyers, Judges, medical professionals, social workers, media personnel, policy makers, psychologists, sociologists, criminologists, victimologists, anthropologists, and interdisciplinary students around the world. We invite academicians, practitioners, and research scholars to submit abstracts towards this conference according to the theme of the conference.

Theme: Victim Assistance: Challenges & Resilience during COVID-19.

Sub-themes:

  • Conflict, Oppression & Injustice
  • Welfare & Empowerment
  • Mental Health & Well-Being
  • Intolerance, Displacement & Discrimination

Participation: Anyone can participate as an attendee; only research scholars, academicians, practitioners can present their work at the conference. Participation certificates will be given to all those who attend all the sessions. Presenters will be acknowledged with a presentation certificate.

Call for Abstracts: max 300 words abstract along with author details, to be submitted along with registration form.

Last Date for Submission of Abstracts: 2nd October, 2020 (Selected papers will be confirmed to the participants by 10th October, 2020)

Call for Papers for IJEBTS journal: The best presentations will be invited to submit their full papers for publication in the upcoming JIBS journal issue for Jan 2021 – International Journal of Emerging Trends in Behavioural Sciences.
