M.A./M.Sc. Applied Psychology

The M.A./M.Sc. degree in Applied Psychology is awarded following completion of a two‑year masters programme committed to the study and application of psychological principles and findings. The programme offers students an opportunity to pursue specializations including Community Psychology, Forensic & Investigative Psychology, and Industrial & Organizational Psychology. The degree and instruction is provided by the Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS). The programme aims to instil the necessary knowledge and skills for each student’s personal and academic growth, preparing them for immediate  employment or Doctorate further study.

Masters in Rehabilitation Sciences

Masters in Rehabilitation Sciences

A ‘Masters in Rehabilitation Science’ program is a graduate-level program that focuses on understanding the impact of disability and facilitating the recovery of individuals affected by physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. The program aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities and the skills necessary to design and implement effective rehabilitation programs.

The coursework will combine lecture-cum-discussions, application exercises in simulated environments, and clinical/fieldwork. Some of the core areas covered in the program are – various types of disabilities, rehabilitation processes, rehabilitation counselling, and social work techniques in rehabilitation. Students may also have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as locomotor disability, intellectual disability, and developmental disability.

Graduates of the program may work in various settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, private clinics, government programs, and academic institutions.

M.Sc. in Psycho-social Rehabilitation

M.Sc. in Psycho-social Rehabilitation

A ‘M.Sc. Psychosocial Rehabilitation’ is a specialized program focusing on understanding disability due to mental health conditions and facilitating the recovery of affected individuals. The program aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of mental health conditions (including mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and psychosocial concerns of special groups) and skills needed to facilitate mental health rehabilitation. The coursework will combine lecture-cum-discussions, application exercises in simulated environments, and clinical/fieldwork. Some of the core areas covered in the program are – psychosocial foundation of human behaviour, counseling, family and group interventions, and psychosocial rehabilitation.

Graduates of the program may work in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, community health centers, and government or non-governmental organizations working in the mental health or social sector.
