Dr. Soumya Thankam Varghese is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS), O. P. Jindal Global University. She carries three years of professional experience in teaching and research. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai.
Research Experience
Dr. Soumya’s area of interest lies in academic performance and particularly the determining and facilitating factors involved in it. Her doctoral work was funded by NCERT.
Teaching Experience
Dr. Soumya’s teaching journey commenced in August 2020 after her PhD submission and before joining JIBS, she worked as an Assistant Professor in Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai, and Christ University, Bengaluru. She has taught a wide array of subjects such as Research Methods, Educational Psychology, and Industrial/ Organizational Psychology at UG and PG levels.
