What is Criminal Psychology and MA/MSc Criminology Course?

The course aims at Understanding, combating, and preventing crime and focuses on developing skills to analyse complex criminal behaviour patterns, gather and interpret evidence, and contribute to the development of effective crime prevention and investigation techniques. The course has two specializations :


Financial Crime Studies

The Financial Crime Studies specialization track will delve into the complex landscape of economic offenses. This dynamic curriculum will equip students with a comprehensive understanding of financial crimes, encompassing fraud, money laundering, cybercrime, and regulatory compliance. Students will explore forensic accounting, risk assessment, and investigative methodologies, gaining insights into global financial systems and their vulnerabilities. Police and Security Studies

The Police and Security Studies specialization track will delve into the multifaceted realms of law enforcement, crime prevention, and security management. This dynamic curriculum will equip students with an in‑depth understanding of criminal behavior, investigative techniques, and the social, legal, and ethical dimensions of policing. Through specialized courses in security management, intelligence analysis, and strategic security planning, students will explore cutting‑edge methodologies in crime control, risk assessment, and counterterrorism strategies. Students will gain practical skills in handling complex security challenges, honing critical thinking and decision‑ making abilities crucial for leadership roles in law enforcement, public safety, and security agencies with expertise and innovation
